ZX12R @ US41 Dragstrip

Yesterday I had the 12 at the dragstrip for the first time. Its basically stock with aftermarket exhaust, mod air filter, pc3, custom map, lowered, strapped in the front, and air shifter, with Shinko ultra soft tires. First out 10.80's. Second out 10.55. Third out 10.26. I ran a variety of 10.20's with bests of 10.16 and 10.10 @ 139 mph. 60 foot times were not great, mostly around 1.80. on the 10.10 pass my 60 foot was 1.75. Also had a pass where i went 1.68 60 foot but the air shifter missed 2nd to 3rd. That was my best shot at going 9's. I probably should have been easier on the bike, cuz by the end of the day it didn't want to shift smoothly anymore. I'm hoping its just because the clutch is cooked. Hopefully not bent shift forks. We'll see.

you sir are correct. unfortunately, at this point i'm re-evalutating where i'm going with this bike. I think i'm just going to leave it be and ride it on the street. i love kawi's but at the strip you need a busa. as a straight up drag bike i think the busa is the best. they're tougher and they're easier to work on.
