Talking triple tree question

anyone know off hand if the triple trees on the d9 is interchangable with any other bikes? wanting to lower the front of my bike like i have in the back however the stock risers do not allow u to lower the front, at least not without milling the risers a lil. all i want or need is about a half inch drop or so. so it at least looks even with the back when i sit on it. the back is lowered only one inch but it sags mayb another inch with me on it. thank in advance for any help guys.

By risers, I assume you're referring to the handlebar castings. Would be much simpler and less expensive to have them machined so you can slide the tubes up in the clamps. A different top tree will require the associated bars and if the offset is different, you have to change out the lower triple also.

that is correct. i had been leaning toward the milling idea. i could do it in couple hours and not cost me anything but my only thought is if i machine it enough to lower it a half inch how much would it weaken the casting? another choice would be the clip ons i just cant stand how they look they r so generic

i have 2 perminantly dislocated ankles so i lowered it so i wasnt on the balls of my feet puttin all the stress on my ankles pluss i like how these bikes look lowered not showing all the back rim with how long these bikes r it gives them a drag bike look it just sharp to me but mainly for pain reasons
