Just bought a 95 zx11 and am cleaning the carbs. The needles have no clips or grooves, is that normal? Also the petcock flows fuel when the lower hose is removed, would that cause it to run poorly? Floods the bowls I guess.
those are STOCK needles so all is good. just make sure ya put any spacers/washers back where they where when ya pulled it apart.......
looking at the microphiche its a ON/OFF petcock so you should be able to turn it off when ya pull the lines.youre gonna have fuel in the lines since it runs down to the pump....

Thanks. Didn't see any spacers or washers though, just the plastic thing on top of the needle. Took the petcock apart and tightened the 2 screws holding it together, that should make a difference.
