Is it possible the incorrect amount was in there to begin with? and it showed on the viewing glass correct, then once it sat for a bit and the majority of the oil went to the sump?? it looks like it is incorrect?

Hi

Dont overfill with oil.
Take it for a spin - stop it and place on center stand and wait for 3-4 minuttes, then you can see the correkt oil level in the glass.
This is the only correkt way to check the level !!!
Always keep it at the top off the glass !

As Carras says, check 5-10 minutes after it has been up to temp and bike is stopped and on center stand. The service manual just says to wait several minutes if the bike has been run.

I had an issue with vanishing oil, but found that the breather tube was loose at the breather cover and the oil would come out there and get down near the chain area. I never really had spots on the floor or anything, but the level was going down with every few rides.

If the level is going down when the bike is just sitting and never run, it has to be going somewhere, right? The heat reflective padding on the lower fairings will soak up a bunch, take the lowers off and then look for spots.

Good luck.

The guys are right. oil will disappear when sitting, need to start the bike ,run it a few minutes, put it on c stand and check the level after it sits about 5 to 10 minutes. fill to the top of the site glass.

well did find lil oil in hose that comes off the back of the air box im guessin the is the one that u guys have been talking aboout? got it confused with the hoses that come off the top of the engine shouldnt the hose off the back of the air box b suckin air not the opposite and suckin the oil? and a small edit to this at low speeds it does suck air but at higher rpm it slows pressure out of the tube somethin tells me that is not right cause that means its blowing the oil into air box? well atleast i know what is the issue....i think
