New to the forum...
Hello All,
I am new to your forum, and I am looking at a '94 ZX11D with approx. 30K. Owner says its in mint condition. Will be seeing it in person for the first time on Saturday (other than pictures). What should I watch out for? Anything I should know about this bike? I've been riding sport bikes since '83, so I know what I am doing, I just don't know of any inherent problems with this model.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Huh... where is everyone? Well, welcome. Can't tell you much to look for on that bike beyond the general stuff, but there are some very knowledgeable eleven riders in here who can. They just don't check in as often as the rest of us...

Welcome!
Can't help you on the bike but maybe you can help me gambling. I'm in Vegas right now and the only thing getting thinner is my wallet.

The only sure thing in Vegas...stick your dollar in a change machine, and 99% of the time you will break even. You still get the thrill of gambling, but you go home with your money!

Okay, saw and rode the bike today. It is very clean. Never been down. Has an exhaust system...no idea what brand, no markings and didn't look familiar, Steel Braided brake and clutch lines, a corbin seat and the frame and wheels have been polished. Bodywork in excellent condition. Ran good. Suspension needs to be adjusted....was falling into turns and felt kind of strange in corners. Other than that, no leaks, transmission and clutch felt fine.
Anything else I should of looked for? I gave him a deposit to hold it for me (got it for $2700) so unless something major comes up, I guess its mine!!

I have a 1991 ZX11 C2 model and I absolutely love it. I think it is probably the single best motorcycle purchase I ever made. I can cruise in comfort on it yet can wick it up if I feel like it. Yes, it is heavy and you have to take that into consideration if you're hustling it around but I don't think I will ever sell mine. Supposedly the number 3 bearing in the motor is prone to problems but I don't know if that was early C models only or all of them. I've gotten as much as 50 mpg on the highway with it too riding it easy. Getting over 40 mpg is commonplace for me.
The only problems I have had with mine are the paint popping off the bar end weights and just recently, I'm having carb problems due to it sitting for a long time. But even that only occurred recently and I blame the new gas formulations as much as anything. Just remember it is a big, heavy motorcycle and plan your stops and cornering accordingly. I almost traded mine for a Concours years ago but decided to keep it and just go with soft luggage. Good luck and I hope you have a blast.

Post some pictures when you get it. The price sounds good.
