K&N Air Filter (or similar) - Worth it?

Thinking about a K&N air filter for my 98D. If you have one, or a similar product, do you think its worth it? can you feel a difference? I am running a stock exhaust.

I have a typhoon intake on my WRX, but thats a turbo and a little more than just the filter and the box.

Thoughts/suggestions?

PS - This is probably a double-post, but the search comes back with too many posts as its such a common key word, and besides, might be of interest to some others out there...

If you ride in a dirty dusty envirnment it's worth it. If not, the OEM paper is better. You probably get more top end power wit the paper also.

You'll never feel a difference with just a filter change. OEM is a great filter. You have to remember as well, if it flows more air...it flows more dirt.

If you use a K&N, be sure to use the latest (more filtering area) design they made.
