I have a 1994 ZX1100 it runs great I recently bought it 4 months ago it had been sitting up for awhile, i recently discovered that it has a slow oil leak ,there is not alot leaking but I can't figure out where its coming from, and my my headlight has stop working I had the bulb changed but it still is not working.
Have u put ur hand under the engine and oil filter cap to feel where there is oil coming from? Have u done an oil change since u got it? Check the fuses under the seat for the light and check to see if u are getting any juice thru the wires/harness that leads to the headlight. How did u replace the light? Did u take the whole front cowl off? What have u done to look for leak? Need specifics. Sometimes my bike will leak but its bcuz the cap to the oil filter has loosened do to vibration...cuz I'm always scared to over tighten.
Say you have oil leak behind the head lite , ok zx11 have oil leaks . Pull your fairing off and clean off grim look for oil leak . Hell I told soninlaw I was doing tuneup and when he come over I had a piston in my hand . Good luck .
