Chain Adjustment Question?

For many years I have adusted chains by having the tires on the floor and someone sitting in the seat.

Others say to put the M/C on the center stand and adjust to specs without someone in the saddle.

What is the correct way to adjust the chain?

The correct way is the way the service manual says bike on the center stand.

What if you don't *have* a center stand?

Ur gonna have tu use a flat piece of wood..and a jack and a buddy to hold the bike steady. The wood is not to damage from metal to metal under the engine.
