Problem with charging battery

Hi everyone, I have a 1991 zx11 and I am having a problem with my battery dying in a week. I put a new battery in the motorcycle. I started the bike and checked the output of the charging system. Found it at 12.4 volts. I found the black wire white wire connector from the regulator burnt. fixed that wire but still will not charge the battery? I am thinking it might be the voltage regulator or maybe a generator brush? any help would be great. thanks.

Looks like the rectifier is burnt? looks as if it got really hot. Wondering if a zx11D or a zg1000 concourse alternator assembly will fit on my 1991 zx11C? does any one know? thanks

Something may be draining the battery with everything turned off. Check for current draw at the battery with the key off. If there is anything like a clock or other electrical device that's been added, disconnect before checking. If there is no static drain, there has to be a problem in the charging system. Fixing the wire probably didn't fix what caused it to burn. Charge output should be closer to 13.2 volts with the motor revved.

will a 1994 zx11d alternator fit a zx11c

Hi, I rechecked the regulator and rectifier. The rectifier ohm in both directions. Which looks like the diodes are bad in the alternator. I have a friend with a 1994 zx11D alternator for sale, so does any one know if a zx11D alternator will fit on a 1991 zx11C. Thanks

WILL FIT same / same
also while you are in there check the engine side

been known to loosen up

The one that tends to loosen up is in on engine side
not the alternator side """USE RED Loctite"""
