Cheapest way to prevent #3
After looking at that it reminded me of something from south park... Any way, back to my question.
I was looking for a bike that will do everything i need it to and that I can ride to school everyday. I think I have fallen in love with the ZX-11, and the price is right.
I do plan on doing an occasional wheelie, and I would like to know the cheapest way to prevent oil starvation of the #3 main. (Other than keeping it on two wheels)
I have never been that deep into a sport bike, so I dont even know how much trouble it is to change out an oil pan. (I remember breaking a balancer skirt and dumping mettle chunks into the the oil on an old Trans am once, pulling the pan was miserable and got me looking like mud man)
Also, what happens if the bearing DOES spin? I assume the crank goes bye bye, and probable mettle flakes into the transmission?
On a side note, and please keep in mind, I have never been on a bike that could do a wheelie before other than my dirt bike, I assume that the guys that ride crazy long wheelies have to shift somewhere in there, and I also assume they dont use the clutch, using this method correctly, what parts take the worst of the wear?? Are there ways to notice wear on these parts ahead of time?
Im a smaller guy, weighing in at only 145, and standing at 6'2. I know the big ole harly guys can pull there own engine out without a hoist, but how much man does that take?
Im new to motorcycle maintenance, I am used to SBC engines, thanks for your help.
