Brakes....again?

Well I just put the replacment EBC rotors on that they sent me and the stock rear back. They told me this....I could not warp these rotors, period. Some new button system and pad design. I will see. If these dont work I am going with the GSXR swap. Kinda pissed they did not send me the contours, as much money that I shelled out for the Pro-Lite race. Me and the mrs. are riding to north GA mountains this weekend so I will put them to the test. They will be good and "bedded in" when we get there. On the way home I will hit blood mtn. and see.

Crashtech, what GSXR swap? You surely mean the 6 piston calipers? I'm asking because you are on talking about front discs.

Yea the front....yea the gsxr six piston calipers....I just about fell in the floor when they (EBC) told me that. I will get a full set of Galfers with the gixer calipers when they warp, along with sending both sets back to EBC demanding a full refund. I think the larger contact patch of the six piston caliper distributes the heat to a larger area thus reducing the tendancy to warp.

OK, they probably sent you a pair of their new-for-2008 XC rotors. If you've not read about those yet, just look at those links:

The other day I ordered Pro lite contours. Our rotors should have the same S drive. We'll both find out if they warp. I have also orderd Galfer lines and I will install new HH pads.

Tell us how the bike stops.

Yea thats them...They sent me the "X" rotors. Yea I know... I wanted the XC but the only diff is the contour profile. I just got back from GA last night and they bedded in NICE! The more i use them the better they feal. Gentle pressure on the lever generates heat and the hotter they get the stronger they stop. You can really feal them "grab" with some heat. No warpage yet! I am going back this weekend without wife and bags to "beat" on it.
