waiting for my 2012 zx10r

So didnt think I would be buying another bike, but hey im addicted. Just sold my 07 zx6r last year. Have to say been a kawi owner pretty much my whole riding life. That 07 was the first bike I was not very fond of way to many issues. So zx10r owners how do you guys like your bike so far? Im waiting for the 2012 model to come out. The only color I can get right now is black (did that with the 07 never again) Plus new year redesign. So no hurry I can wait herd they should be out by Oct. Does anyone know what the new colors will be for 2012? I have looked online but have not any good info.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings

Color schemes haven't been released for the 2012 models yet, as far as my short research stint on the subject concluded anyway.

This is my first post. Had to come here to post this as I've been searching for similar info and have a deposit on a 2012.

Got this reply from an inquiry direct form Kawasaki Motors Australia this morning.

"Limited stock of the 2012 Model Ninja ZX-10R ABS is expected in Mid August.
There are changes to the colour and graphics of the 2012 Model. The images of the 2012 model are on embargo until the 1st August 2011.
I expect after this Date, images will appear on the various Kawasaki web sites.
There are no major changes in the 2012 model, other than the minor changes we sometimes see between year models.
This model is still the most powerful “standard” motorcycle currently available. It is also the lightest ABS model available.
This model has low friction engine design and it could normally take up to 3,000 kilometres to be fully run in for peak performance.
Our best press unit dynoed at 2,600ks 184.74hp by Motorcycle Trader and with our Ram Air system at higher speeds this is equivalent to 195 hp at the rear wheel.
The best European competitor model does not have an affective RAM system.
I hope you enjoy this model is the best Supersport model in the market.
Thank you for the inquiry"

So in just a few days time we will see what the 2012 will bring :)

Cheers

I'll keep an eye out because i'm undecided what to do. I'd love to have the new 10R, but I also love my 6R.....
I wish I could afford both.

Yep, he is bad ass and is only 19 years of age. He's come through the Kawasaki racing programme from a very young age. Some big things expected from him over the next couple of years.

Yup they will keep him until he starts 2 win consistantly and then he will want to get paided and will probably end up going too yamaha! Kawasaki always goes with young talent and then they go for the money! Keep and eye on JD Beach as well!

GD that thing is sexy.
I liked the black '11 at first, then fell in love with green, then saw a black one in person again and got wood for it, but after seeing the possible black '12 model...i may wait as well....

OWNED!

This thing is WAY more sexy IRL.
All the casings are a Gun-metal grey/titanium type color.
Lots of subtle differences to the 2011.
Initially when announced I wasn't big on the "Prismatic Matte Grey", but MY GOD it is gorgeous In Real Life!
Even the Gloss Black on the tank etc has a grey sparkle in it.
No way is it as 'bluey' looking as the official pics above. Nor is the red trim 'as red' those pics are quite saturated. It really does look 'matte'.

It is TEH SEX

Going to get a youtube vid up tomorrow sometime. Then another with a handful of mods I have sitting waiting.

Just put money down on one. I hope the black looks as sexy as it does in the pic above! Too bad the dealer won't get any in until late Nov :(

Dealer believes the US spec and Euro spec bikes for 2012 will have the same ECU (thank god!). He's checking with Kawi for confirmation. now to see if I can wait patiently for it to arrive.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wink

The waiting game huh?

Gratz. I waited 10 weeks for mine since I put my money down.
Was originally told 'about a month'
Then told 'couple weeks'
Then told 'oh yeah the green are in but the black are a separate shipment so maybe another 3 weeks or so'

haha. Anyways had it for two weeks now. Couple vids on youtube if you wanna check it out. new one up today with my Graves Exhaust on.
"Black 2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R"
search that and you'll find them.

Unfortunately I'm in Germany so I'm told they won't be until until probably December'ish. But I've been promised the first one they get for 11,799 OTD. I've already got a shopping list of stuff for Santa to buy me :D

Yea I've seen your vids. It looks very nice. Lucky you got yours so fast :p Does the graves sound even better in person? I was debating the graves over the M4 for a while. I need to get a much stiffer shock spring if it's the same rate as the 2011's. 205lbs w/o gear :/ (front springs are perfect though!)

Exhaust (Graves slip-on +mid pipe)
Rear stand
Swingarm spools
Front stand
front axle sliders
Frame sliders
power Commander V
Fender eliminator
Pazzo levers
BMC air filter

The Graves does sound way better in person. Hard to capture sound on Video I've found.

The low rumble at idle is sweet and when you wind her up... can't explain, just best sound I know of. This pipe really does let her breathe so much better and it's really noticeable.

My only gripe with it is when cruising at free way speed (here 100km+) revs are about 4.5 - 5k and the Graves has a real low resonate frequancy that just vibrates my whole body.

Getting used to it though and just started wearing my noise cancelling Headphones/iPod again. (not that this is necessary to ride it, it's not TOO loud) And can still hear her purring fine with the headphones in.

I hear the M4 is a lot louder again and less lower tone rumble. Main reason I went for the Graves was because of the lower rumble sound... If that makes any sense.

Cheers.
