You shouldn't the 07 didn't have an o2 sensor. The programmer will help but you don't have to have it.

The cat is in the front exhaust pipe and acts as a bottle neck causing heat build-up which turns the pipe blue. Not good. Once removed your exhaust will run cooler. The cat should be moved to it's new home, the garbage can. The removal will cause no ill effects and you won't require a power commander.

Ryd2nrz what baffles are you talking about ?

It will be a good gain but I still suggest a commander and a tune. Its unlikely it will be tuned right when you remove something that restricts the flow as much as a cat. You will probably be running lean and it could cause damage...

I'm actually in the process of doing the same exact thing. I have the A&R baffles installed already, I just need a cat delete pipe. Anyone know where I can get one?

I took out the cat with a big punch on my track bike. No power commander. I made my own silencers. Cut 3 inches off the length and made big old waffles out of medium screen material. Welded up and end cap and riveted back together. Works and sounds awesome. I do want to put a PC on it and take off the throttle plates, to mirror my street bike. I love the power it puts out. I wouldnt buy a converter pipe when your just going to throw the piece of junk out anyways. Just knock it out. The only thing that ever made a difference was removing the throttle plates. Idles rough cold, runs like a rapped ape and lost all off the backfire on decel from putting the open exhaust on.
