Fitting an immobiliser to a 04 zx10

hi all

some help wanted please

i have fitted an alarm to my zx10 and its working fine. the alarm has an immobiliser on it but o have not connected it yet. there are 2 wires left.a grey and a pink.

the instruction i got with the alarm were crap translation from chinese so they were not much help. apparently to make the immobilier work i need to create a circuit by taking the ignition wire on the bike, then connect the cut end of the ignition wire to the pink cable oin the immobiliser/alarm, then connect the gray cable from the alarm/ immobiliser to the other end of the ignition cable. thus creating a circuit through the immobiliser/alarm via the ignition cable.

does this make sense?

has anyone else fitted an immobiliser/alarm and is this the easiset way to do it?

if so. exactly where on the bike would i cut the ignition wire? OR, should i take it out of the relay, connect it to one of cables on the the immobiliser, then make a short connection to the ignition terminal on the relay from the pink(other cable) on the immobiliser?

please help an auto electric newbie

maybe ive got it all wrong??

that seems to sound right. i dont think it really matters where u put it, only thing is it should be infront of the ignition.
then just find a spot where its most practical.

well what i did was attach a short cable to each terminal on the ignition relay fuse.close the fuse box, then attach the 2 wires from my immobiliser, 1 to 1 terminal on the ignition fuse, ,1 to the other, and it works fine. this also has the bonus of being easy to bypass if the immobiliser stuffs up, as they occasionally do.

lots of head scratching, thinking, n a few cups of tea.sorted
