the '10 10

It's new face looks pretty cool I guess...they made the dips around the headlights which kinda makes it look like it has eyeliner or something?

But anyway...do you guys think it's just coincidence that they placed the exact same "Kawasaki" decal on the belly of the new 2010 ZX-10R SE that I've had on my '09 ZX-10R SE since February? I make it a point to get the look of my bike out there as much as possible (bikepics, youtube, etc)...so it's kinda freaky that they have the exact same size decal in the exact same spot. Now everyone with the 2010 10s are gonna think I'm trying to copy the 2010... (I think the SE for 2010 kinda looks cheap'ish?)

Check it out, here's my 2009:

And here is the 2010 (belly decal in same spot lol):

Another shot of mine:

Another of the 2010:

Yeah, if I could put the 3rd gen drive train and 2nd gen nose on my 1st gen, I'd be happy as a pig in shit. For a minute.

I was really hoping they would have stuck with the 2 year overhaul schedule...guess I gots to wait another year.

Anyway, Gnaime, I'd be more worried if the decals on the mid fairings were the same. Just the "Kawasaki" decal on the bottom isn't gonna throw anyone off...that's a pretty common place for a manufacturer decal, no matter what the make.

I bet ya it could be done.I driven all three models and the first gen is still the best streetbike.

I dunno, that 3rd gen snicks through the gears like new Miata, and I could definitely get used to that on the street. Not that there aren't mods for my bike to make it shift every bit as well, and not that they aren't actually pretty reasonably priced- I just don't have the balls to rip the tranny apart to do them, or that cash to pay someone else to try. And actually, my dream liter bike would have the nose off an '05 ZX6, not a 10R at all. But I digress...

Oh, I'm not having problems, it just shifts how they do. The first gen is a little notchy, they're known for it; and I believe the 2nd gen is mechanically almost identical. As long as you know what you're doing and pay attention it's never an issue, it's just not as forgiving of incompetence as some of it's contemporaries. And, unlike some of it's contemporaries, it's pretty much bulletproof. That's a compromise they made with the technology and budget they had at the time to build what was hopefully to be the fastest production street bike on the planet... which for the most part they did.

Oh, but yeah, more on topic: I don't think you should worry about it Nick, the new SE is different enough that I don't think anyone will think you're copying.
