08 ZX10R steering dampener

i was recently in an accident with my 08 zx10r and after finally getting the bitch running fine i have noticed while riding that the front end is a lot more twitchy under bumps on turns at speed. i know that i hit the front forks from the side and i am thinking that when i did that i somehow loosened up the dampener. my question is, how do you adjust it to make it a little tighter. it is not like the 06-07 that have a golden set screw on the side of the bar so i dont know where to begin. also i dont know if i can be sure that this is what is causing it but if anyone wants to shoot out opinions of anything else they think it could be, please feel free to state your input. thanks.

the steering damper is on the top and on the far left is the adjuster turn it towards you to make it harder.. away from you is softer...
I circled the adjuster in the pic..

yeah it dont feel like a real damper should feel, but that can be fixed for around $100 from Dan Kyle racing, just send it in and he will make it right...

I "bandaid" fixed mine for the 09 zx6r . I pumped out all the oil and replaced it with 30w and works pretty good now . I know it's not as good as replacing the bleeder valve but works for now . The stiffest setting stock is now barely as stiff as the lightest setting .
