1988-90 ZX1000 / ZX1100 Engine Parts Needed

My 1989 ZX1000 (parts will fit from 1988-1990) is BUSTED. I blew out the head at 155 mph. The camshafts welded themselves to the head. I just spent a bunch of $$ on carbs, exhaust, tires, chain, etc etc so I don't want to throw out the bike just yet.

I need a new head, camshafts, and engine gasket kit. I think the ZX1100 parts will fit as well but I'm not sure. I don't care if the parts are stock or race or a little beat or whatever.

Does anyone have / know anyone that has these parts? There should be lots of them, usually the rods / transmission on this bike goes - not the head.

Btw, I will be modifying my oil system in the hopes that this won't happen again... and maybe, taking it a little more easy.

You can contact me here or on my email @ pgba@umich.edu

Thanks in advance!

I'm new here but just purchased an 89 zx1000. I recently checked Ebay and there are a lot of parts there for the bike. You start with a search of a zx1000 and then on the left side of the page you can see how it breaks it down by years. Hope that helps.

I second karl, e-bay or a wrecker as said try using different definitions when using eBay i.e. ZX-10, ZX10, ZX1000, Ninja 1000, etc...
