O2 sensor Yoshi Full R77 Exhaust

Hi.

My first post here :)

Got my self a brand new Zx10R 2008, euro mod.

Finally gotmy exhaust today, Yoshi R77 Full stainless steel carbon exhaust.
Lookin awesome, hope the sound is that also.

But my problem is, my original stock exhaust has a O2 sensor mounted on it, but the yoshi exhaust has not mounting holes for this.

What to do?

Buy an O2 eliminator kit + power commander
or drill a hole for the O2 sensor in the exhaust....

The warning system will go off and put the bike into safe mode by removing O2 sensor,so i guess i need a eliminator,or drill a hole,hm.

What u think, anyone that has experience with this.

This is a euro model, and the exhaust is from the US, but yoshi does not make exhaust for this bike with an 02 sensor mounting...

Appreciate any answer

thanks

BUMP!

Well ,ive been thinking, and made and welded a solution to the yoshi exhaust,so ican jut screw the sensors in, so i guess it wont be a problem anymore.

Ordered a power commander today also, and wll put in a custom map.

Hos is the sound of the full yoshimura, pipes and muffler, hope its mean :)

Unfamiliar with the word baffle, what does that mean?
thanks

a "baffle" is an insert in the muffler that lowers the sound. Remove it.

haha no its not that complicated. look into your muffler from the end... you should see a little insert inside the exhaust itself. On the end cap, there should be an allen key somewhere, remove it, and you can pull the baffle out with pliers relatively easily. it'll take you twenty seconds. I believe yoshimura refers to it as a "low volume insert" if that helps any. Good luck! by the way, welcome to the forums. My name's dave.

Yep yep, mounted the yoshi exhaust today, and here is the result.

This is how it looks original. Black diablo 4 sure :)

Here is the placing of the original O2 sensors

Bought som nuts, and delivered the pipe to a welding company

The placement was not perfect,to low,but was sooooo unpatient getting this exhaust on,so i drilled the holes before even trying the exhaust on, j j ill deal with it l8r if it becomes a problem

Also removed the baffle as i asked for earlier, the sound is incredible, not too high, but perfect, though having som problems with leaking exhaust by the manifold, the dealer will handle it later this week.

Result

Those idiots at the shop, has polished my lower plastic, so now its more like white, :(
Theyll replace them with new ones fortunately, annoying

Thanks bro.

Got the bike back from the shop today, with the new lower plastic, enormous difference from the ugly white one after the polish.

Performance with this new exhaust is enormous, it just wants up up up. :)

Next step will be custom mapping with power commander.

And the custom made O2 sensor fitting works great.
