I think I broke it...

I have no idea whats wrong with my bike now. If you take it up to about 9,000 rpm, it starts breaking up really bad. Actually it shuts off. Then its hard to restart. I don't know if its the fuel pump or an ignition problem. It started 2 or 3 days ago. It did it last night and I thought I was gonna have to push it home. My GiPRO has been turned off for about 3 weeks now, so I know its not that. The only other electrical mod is my Speedo Healer. And it doesn't matter how much gas is in the tank... HELP!!!

It only comes on if I hit the start button and it doesn't turn over. I've already unhooked the GiPRO, the Power Commander is next. My dealer's parts guy said he's heard of PC's going bad and causing problems. Going to rip stuff apart now...

A Power Commander is a pcIII... The bike already has it with the proper map in it. I unhooked the Power Commander and the problem is still there. When it shuts down it will restart in neutral but will shut off when put into gear. The kickstand isn't hanging down or loose... This is really pissing me off!!!

It's your kickstand switch. I think I know what your talking about. I had a problem similar to that, It would start in gear and I would ride, and it would be all ok until I accelerate to around 7-9k rpm then it would cut off or something and it wouldn't start in gear and the FI light would come on, it would only start in neutral until you shut the bike off and turn it back on. hopefully that's similar enough. Well, I took it in to the dealer and told them to replace the kickstand switch and my problems magically went away.

Yea, it was covered. It took our dealership about a week or 2 give or take a few days, he had to oreder the part and install it after he got the first bikes in line out of the way. The time varies from dealer to dealer depending on how much of a nice guy or asshole they are. Supposedly there was a problem with the ZX-10r and faulty kickstand switches, but not a big enough problem to put out a recall or a notice. But yea, it was covered. Glad I could be of some help. At first it didn't click to me until you said something about the kickstand and putting it in gear. So I thought I could save you before you did anything drastic like I did.
