Lano.. i think everyone can agree your master cylinder is the first thing to change out... and get some SS lines... and you should be much better off...

kdankenb what do i need to stop this?
I had the same problems, i tried running 5.1 through the lines, didnt help. I bought an R1 MC off of kdankenb a few days ago, and some galfer SS lines for the front. I'll let you know how it goes... should be this weekend.

yeah I heard of people using the zx14 MC also, I think its a larger version of the Nissin which comes stock on the 10, not sure though.. but you'd be just fine getting a brembo off a stock yamaha, duc or something.. or go aftermarket and get one direct from brembo if you're goin racing...

Tokico calipers are squishy. They were on the 7r, even w/ 6 pistons, and they are on the 10r. Better to replace them w/ ones off a zx14r or nice aftermarket dumplings.

this is correct. For some reason they tried to get away with the cheap MC for the 06/07 series of 10r but this was considered a failure (not enough for a recall) thus is why they rectified it in the 08 10r

I'm with you guys, the MC sucks. I haven't replaced mine yet due to the fact i'm in hawaii. There's not alot of places to play and the places we do have are cop infested. Some of you may have done this others not, when you bleed the lines make sure you bleed from all the points. It helped a little on mine, not alot though.

if yer riding street, any brembo will work fine, like the one I sold ya vertigo...hell it worked good for me at track days, but as I got faster, i started noticing some brake fade, which also had to do with me using ebc HH pads, which run hot.... :) sometimes I have more money than brains, thats why I got the billet brembo MC... and ferodo XRAC pads...

correct if I am wrong but most Brembo supersport MC have the same fit mounts so most will fit the 10r

I know this post has been around for a while, but I'll put in my two cents anyway.
Went the whole route in steps. First added Brake lines (Galfer). Not good enough.
Found some Nissin calipers from ZX-14 reall cheap, so I said Why not. This was better, not so abrubpt with a little more modulation, and less lever travel, but still not good enough. Finally got my Brembo Billett MC and put it on yesterday. Still have stock pads.
Yup.....!!!!! this is it. I may try the Tokico's back on someday, but maybe why bother. This setup is sweet enough. My advice to anyone starting from scratch on a '06 or '07 is to get a Brembo MC, either new or from a Z1, braided steel lines and a proper bleed, and keep the Tikicos. For street, the stock pads a fine.
Brrrrrr.....It's still cold up here
