Indeed! Still awesome after two decades+
and a new one with todays technology would be insane, the closest thing we have is a CBR600 getting schooled by an Arial Atom which I really don't think does it justice.
Also... LOL at full tuck and dragging knees on a cruising bike!

Top Gear did a Carrera vs. R1 comparison a while ago. The first 2 minutes of the video is shit so feel free to skip ahead to the middle where the race actually starts. The car wins they say because of the larger contact patch of its tires. I don't buy it... the guy on the bike doesn't look like he's pushing it very hard.

Yeah, that dude's knee never touched ground. It looks like the brought in a racer to drive the car and grabbed some average joe to ride the bike. I saw one a while back with a Ducati 999 vs. a Lambo and the bike won. So, I'm pretty sure, with a "real" rider on the R1, he would have taken that Porche.

you cant compair 80' 500cc 2stroke Gp bike. todays bike dont stand a chance. those 500cc Gb bikes had 200 Hp sick rides it would be like rideing a 300 Hp 4stroke bikes of today. the only resone you dont see them today is epa watch this vid.
