my mate had a zx6 a few yrs back n the best way i found to wheelie it was, 1st gear ride to 6000 rpm flip the clutch lever n give it a bit more throttle. Easy on the throttle to start with as she will come up to quick n we don't want you flipping it. take ya time n build up more n more throttle as you learn where the balance point is. O n dont 4get to cover ya backbreak just incase!! GOOD LUCK

first off lowering your bike wont help ya! Second its kinda of hard to explain, usually i get up to about 6000-8000rpms and pull the clutch back in a little bit to spike the rpms then release oh and this is all in second gear and keep your butt twoards the back seat! Take baby steps though, try a little bit in a empty parking lot and no power wheelies, they go bad real fast and are hard to ride out and control!!

griff said it best. 2nd gear <------ i repeat 2nd gear. it comes up alot slower then first gear and is a whole lot more forgiving .. just crusie at about 33-38mph should be at about 6-8k rpm pull the clutch in give it about 3k+ rpm and let the clutch go as fast as ur finges will let it go while at the same time keeping the rpms up and bam one wheel bliss. one note when the wheel comes up let the throttle out just a tad and it will help ut the bike right into the balance point. its all takes practice and feeling the balance point.. the first time you hit it, you should be ready to piss ur pants cuz ur gonna feel as if your flipping. try every time to hit that point and wheelies will be a breeze.. if you cover the rear brake its up to you some people swear by it some go with out it get comfortable in your own way if it works for you.. do it. just make sure you go in steps. first just get used to popping the clutch and feeling the bike jerk.. then start doing baby wheelies to feel the bars light in ur hands.. then just bring the wheel up high and high from there all the while not going for distance. just to get the feel for a wheelie. then when you can get it to balance point with not problem start holding it out longer and longer each time you wheelie ((( a dead highway is the best place i think.. since 1. if there is traffic its all going one way so no head on crashes and two ur bike wont slide into anything but a wall or grass..))) there is no safe place to do them use ur discretion but try to learn with a friend riding with you incase u do fall.. never just go practice byurself! and also people say start with a sitdown.. it makes sence to do it but if you try standing up and like it better.. again do what is comfortable for you it awlways works better that way. other then that good luck and put it in tha AIIIRRRR!!

i've never done clutch ups, just power wheelies.
but then i've had a gixxer 1k and 3 busa's, so the torque made it super easy.
1st, from about 20mph to the limiter, about 80-82.
been jailed for it too

clutch is the way to do them. put your left foot on the passenger peg while putting most of your wight on it. cover your rear brake with your right foot. bring it to about 7-8k on first and just give it a quick rev while youflick the clutch and this baby is looking at the clouds.

Learn wheelies in first gear before you learn 2nd gear wheelies. It'll be very hard to learn a first gear wheelie if you only know how to do it in 2nd then vice versa. To start do sit downs in first. Roll on the throttle like you're accelerating and then pull in the clutch real quick and let it out, keep the throttle in the same position, you don't need to give it more gas. Eventually you'll get the feel for how the bike will come up. Don't do too much too fast.
