Where to stunt?
I wanna learn how to do a few things, wheelies, burnouts, not a whole lot.
Where is it legal to do this stuff, so I can practice away from traffic so I dont get hurt or a ticket?
San Diego and Pasadena, CA locations for me please guys.
Thanks

im not in cali but i can tell you one thing PARKINGLOTS.. they are considered private roads so like a highschool band practice parkinglot becomes a hangout for stunters in any town untill they leave tire tread everywhere. then the school tends to get mad and kick you out. but really as for legal places.. there really isnt any its not like a skateboard.. they dont exactly make stunt parks.. wheelies you learn where you can honestly.. and burnouts.. dont learn that its a waste of money and a good tire.. but hey if thats ur cup of poo then go for it.

Well that helps. I just want to find a place to try and practice away from everything, cops included.
as for burnouts, its just one of those little things I want to learn. Not to do like, sustained ones that eat up my tire or anything. I can do em in cars and its fun. Just thought Id learn on the 6R too.
Thanks!

try getting a permision slip signed by the owner of the parking lot saying you will be liable for any damage, and you will not sue if you get hurt. then you will be good to go as long as you show the cop that paper, your license and registration

What i was gonna say. Parking lots are PP, there for if the owner wants to press tresspassing charges they can, and they can allow the LEO to give you driving citations. Get premission on paper its 2009, "someone saying it's ok is not good enough" And burnouts, garage! Hell i learned drunk in my garage.

I'd like to find a place as well. I'm in San Diego, CA. Haven't been able to find a single spot to practice wheelies yet.

Guys I know go to loading docks in business parks. Usually, there's nobody around and the po-po don't come by too often. But permission is key.

one of the episodes of superbikes had jason britton doing a thing about some place in cali where its like a stunt practice place, its like $20 for all day pass and its a huge ass parking lot fenced in. tons of people out there watching and stunting, not pro's either just average people out there trying to learn to stunt. it looked pretty cool to me.

yes to that for the third time. as long as you're on private property and you have permission, you can pop wheelies in front of thew cops and they cant say shit. but always make sure it is p.property and you do have permission. most important make sure you're geared up.

Shifty said it best. Business parks. They usually have 4 laned roads and are wide open.. with no traffic and no patrol cars.. just dont go doing weelies out there when its time for lunch or when everyone is gettign off work and or going to work. business parks are awesome for top speed runs too..
find where like convergys or factories are and there where you will find the roads im talkin about

not sayinig this is a bad idea. but its not like a skatepark.. the more people at a stunt spot the higher chance of the new guy to go 45mph into someone doing circle wheelies. IMO stunting with a small group is the best route to go. a group you often ride with. so they know your manurisms better.

-OP- theres like a well known stunt spot here in commerce,ca close to east la. its like behind the home depot in commerce, right off the i-5fwy. Well usually the place cracks with bikers on sundays from like 12-4, from what ive heard anyways.and its like a 2mile straight away, and from what my friend said the cops will pass maybe like once or twice a month there around that time the bikers are there, and if they do pass, they'll just kick you out and/or check your info. idk if it cracks during weekdays due to it being a business day and all the factories are prob opened all 3shifts but, hey once a week is cool for me.

All the spots that I go to around here are parking lots to wharehouses, with loading docks. The best places are usually ones that are for lease or rent by a bank, they usually dont have security etc.
When I was out in Cali, I used to go chill at a lot out in the San Bernardino area. Go to stuntride.com and post up, there are many spots out in Cali.
