Rolling burnout
This is all I want to learn as a trick. What do I need to do to pull this off? Possible without the torque of a litre bike?

And the most important thing to remember, (besides always covering your rear brake)
the most important thing
is that every trick you perform is easier with a little "yut ughhhhhhh!!!"

well seriously isn't that the same thing as "clutchin' it up" or using the clutch to pop a wheelie? i mean u hit the gas while u hold in the clutch and then let the clutch out and the front end pops up right? or at least that's what happens when i perform those series of actions on my bike.

guess you didnt read the part about letting off the front brake lightly. guess i should have stated lean your body weight forward before you put your feet on pegs, if you start wheelies like that your bike must be in bad shape from flipping more than a few times!!!

dude you are getting the wrong idea about what i was tryin to say. you don't have to go all defensive on me. i was just tryin to understand what you was saying. i can do a rolling burnout every once and a while but i always forget how i did it. i do use my clutch to pop the front end up, thats how most people with 600's get the front end up, they simply don't have the juice power up like the liter bikes. oh and i've never so much as dropped my bike let alone flipped it and i've been riding for a few years now. just relax homie, i wasn't flaming you or anything i was just trying to get an understanding.

i have to diasgree with the lack of juice comment, u just have to get the rpms up to do it without the clutch. mine comes right up at about 10k in 1st, drop the throttle for a second open her up, and here she comes....

Yes but, a liter bike will do it at 1K in first without dropping throttle first. Relatively speaking, the "juice" comment was referring to the fact that it's apples and oranges.

i guess what i should have added was body position is very important, its simple, you wanna burnout get your weight on the front, you wanna bring it up get your weight to the back, your on your own to figure the rest out, or we can meet up and pay me to teach you to stunt...see my add on craigslist!

Wow, I forgot about this thread.
I think I meant something else...
There was a video of a 929RR riding at about 50mph, the person leaned forward, and they started a burnout from there. I'm guessing the lack of torque with a 600 would make this hard. I guess that qualifies as "rolling." It just seemed easier since you have momentum.
Anyway, this thread is entertaining. :)

i dont do burnouts at all on my current bike, but on my 636 i would just hold the front brake with 4 fingers really hard and (key word) ease the clutch out as you hold a rev. once you have it spinning you can learn to roll with it from there.

its actually waaaaaaay easier to do rolling burnouts at speed.. practice of course while going 10-15mh and go from there.. but all you do is stand up.. lean forward like your gonna sit on the tank. grab the front brake and pop the clutch while giving it some gas and you should break loose.. now you just gotta learn how to keep the bike from oscelating from side to side.. you can also practice sitting down on wet pavement.. just pop the clutch like your gonna wheelie and the tire will instantly break loose.. same rules apply learn to keep it str8 and then you can work on drifting side to side..
