Official November Ride Of The Month Entry Thread!!
It's the first of the month and you all know what that means...
Time for another Ride of the Month Contest!!!
This thread is for entries.
Voting will be handled in the Official November ROTM Poll. (Click here for the Poll thread.)
The deadline for entries will be 11:59pm (eastern time) on the 15th of the month. Only 10 entries will be accepted as that is the maximum for the "polling options". It's first come, first served so get them in early. However, there are some rules.
-You must post a picture/pictures that everyone can see. No links!
-We would like to have some info on the bike, including year, model, mods, maybe a little story about you and your bike.
-If you have won a Ride of the Month contest in the last 12 months then you cannot enter that bike again. If you've got a new bike done differently...alright, I'll allow it.
-The entry must be a Kawasaki.
-You must own the bike at the time of entry.
Once the deadline has passed, I will copy the entrant's posts to the voting thread to make voting easier.
Good luck and let's see some of those rides!

The Story: I fell in love with this bike on first sight. I bought this bike to do everything with it; commute to school/work, group rides, ride with friends, track days, mountain runs and etc.. After having the bike for 2 weeks, I almost gave her up. I just hated the riding position, it gave me a sore back and neck every time I rode for longer than 30minutes. I thought about selling it and buying a Ducati s4r. I listed the bike on craigslist, and while the listing was up- I was still riding the bike, and unfortunately I crashed. Luckily, I didn't get injured but the bike itself was pretty bad. I only had one way insurance so I had to fix it with money out of my own pocket. I did just that. After fixing her up, the love for the bike resurfaced. I couldn't let her go, I took the listing off and continued riding it. I am used to the bike now and can ride for a long period of time without having a hint of soreness. I basically take her everywhere, I recorded some of my rides which you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/user/caiden915x Currently, I am waiting for my first track day!

So there's my ride, I would place it in a vintage category, since its a 1999 and cannot really be compared to the two other bikes which have been posted yet, but anyway...
The two next one are old; some mod since then
The pipe as been fixed since this pic has been taken
And that's me showing off...
Here are the specs:
- ZX7R 1999 (750cc)
- Dynojet Kit
- K/N Performance Air Filter
- Advanced timing
- Both front and rear sprocket changed for acceleration setting
- Muzzy exhaust system
- Carbon tank protector
- Polished aluminum chain guard
- Carbon Tachometer + triple tree cover
- Black windjammer
- Fender eliminator
- Carbon flasher kit(front/rear)
- Yellow under-tail (same color as bike)
Coming soon:
- Clutch and Brake master cylinder aluminum cover
- Carbon Racing mirrors
- Mods to seats(working on it now)
- HID light kit
- LED lighting
And here's the story:
I bought this bike at the beginning of last summer, so this is my second season. I'm 21 and live around Montréal, Canada. This is my first 'real' ride, cuz I had this shitty Kawasaki Ltd 1984 before, and I'm not about to give this one away. I loved this bike, this is my absolute passion. Since I bought it, I've done around 18 000km and I'm not bored at all.
The interesting part of the story is that here in Québec, registration fees are different depending on your bike class. I'm sure you know who usually pays the most... sport bikes. But mine is very special, because the first owner had the bike stolen, so the serial number was removed, and they finally found the bike... To make it short, my bike is now considered as ''home-made'' so I only pay 500$ when I should be paying 1000$ this year, next year I'll be paying 600$ while I would be paying 1500$!!!
Enough talking, time to vote for my bike...

Hi
Well another bike for the vintage category. I know I can’t compete with all those beautiful hi tech new bikes but its fun to be here!
Year: 1990
Model: ZX-6D1
Eng size: 600cc
Pipes: Vance & Hines
Seat: Stock
Wheels: Metzeler tires
Accessories: Vortex rear sprocket, Fox racing shock, Kevlar brake lines.
And the story:
When I was a teenager the 1990 ZX-6 was my dream bike, I didn’t buy it until September 2008.
I found it on a trip to San Diego CA. just sitting there in a used bike and car lot, it was going to be sent to Mexico. I saw that its plastics had the original paint and the engine ran very well. It was just one of those situations you just had the money and the opportunity to buy a long sought after bike.
According to the VIN number and a sticker under the tank behind the seat, it’s the very first 1990 ZX-6D1 built! I’ll post the photo of it later to see what you guys say about that.
I changed the fork seals, adjusted the valves, changed all filters and fluids, changed the tires, fixed the brakes and changed the hoses to Kevlar. Painted the entire frame, changed the windshield for one I imported from Mexico (couldn’t find it in the US). I fixed innumerable small but troublesome problems with parts I found on the net from all over the place.
Even the smallest dents and scratches have been erased and corrected. (No dent was bigger than a fingernail anyway, and on the original paint there was nothing that a little polish couldn’t remove).
Finally one year later there’s nothing else to do to it but ride! It’s once more in show room condition!
