My bros KZ ... Grandpa

All bikes should have a name. This is 'Grandpa'. It was built in the 80's and has been Grandpa ever since.

1425 cc kit, high compression, big cams, raked, 4 inch over arm (approx., I think), air shift, PM wheels, Star header with chrome megaphone, nitrous. Black engine with polished fins, other polished parts, the paint job is an 80's scheme and kinda dated but still looks pretty good. This beotch is fast! It lights the tire with the twist of the throttle in pretty much any of the gears. What do you think?

This thing should really have a starter cart. Man does it suck to try to start. We break kick starters a few times a summer on this thing. It can not be started at all with the electric start. At one point I thought we should buy a serious starter to do the job but the problem actually lies elsewhere. On these engines the starter drives a gear at the end of the crank thats held with a key. The electric start with high compression just shears the key off.

Nice! My first few street bikes were KZs. I sold bikes at a dealer in Denver in the early 90s and there was a club that rode 80s kzs. I've seen many and yours is top notch.
