I say go with the flat black, but then again I am a fan of the old school hot rod look. Flat black with some nice red pin-stripes down it, a little chrome bling and red wheels with and red lights glowing all over it. What the hell, it's just paint. Maybe look up some rat rod pics on the net for some ideas. Let us know what you end up doing. I say don't be like anyone else, I like to stand out.

IF YOU BEAD BLAST OR SAND BLAST MAKE SURE TO USE A FINE GRAIN (ie ONE THAT WON'T PIT YOUR RIMS THEY AREN'T AS TOUGH AS YOU MITE THINK) AND REMEMBER TO MY KNOWLEDGE THERE ISN'T ANY CLEAR THAT WILL WORK WELL ON POLISHED ALUMINIUM. BUT HEY I AIN'T NO PAINTER BUT WE HAVE A POWDER COATING LINE WHERE I WORK.

flat black usually means no clear coat so it might be.
I kinda like it, the only thing I would change is either polish the shit outta the rest of the parts or paint em.

Just add a matte clear coat ( non shiny ) so it allows you to be able to still wash the bike. I'd honestly paint the bike gloss black, black the wheels out with gloss black, polish the frame a bit more , along with your swingarm. But, what do I know. Im just a newb on this forum.

The tires's worn centres and virgin shoulders suggest that they should be of square section... That way you won't even need a sidestand. I wonder, are all your trips confined to straight lines and turns of 15 degrees or less?

Come on Ray, are you instigating the kid to go out and kill himself?
BTW, I think I liked the looks of the bike better with the old paint job. Something is not working well with the flat black. Maybe do the bike, including rims, in Shiny Black. Definitely have to do something though...

I think your are confused...a drag strip is not a racetrack. And if that's where your intrests lie, then perhaps it might be wiser to obtain a Squidsuki product..best choice of course, the ever hideous Fuguglybusa.
And yes, it's true, "a picture is worth a thousand words"

I kinda like it but then again Im partial to a black zx7 since I have one myself. Mines not flat tho but I had thought about doing it. I think its the green wheels that arent working for this bike. They should be chrome to match the frame and all the other shiny stuff. Other than that me likes.
