Nice shots, and I bet it was fun riding that road too.
You seem stronger on your left curves than on your rights???

At times I am but what you don't see is the other traffic. What happens up there you have 4 sites that shoot pics up there. A lot of times when you roll up on the turns they are on you are slowed down because of others, not giving you enough time to set up good for the turns. Sometimes I damn near stop to put distance to try and get speed up. It's a marked 30mph road that on weekends you almost HAVE to do the speed limit because of all the LEO's. Those pics were maybe shot at 35-50mph at most.

Shame it is so busy really, and 30 MPH is insane, but I have heard that semi trucks cut right across those very same curves, so i guess the speed limit could actually be a life saver from hitting a truck head on.
Was not a ctritism about your left and rights , it just looked like a more comfortable sweep in that one picture, I'm the same.
Still really enjoyed those shots.
Helmet ? is that the RF1000? if so whats it like at higher speed stability wise?
Thinking of getting one.

High spped stability is great. I was told even at 170+ it's still good. I've read where some complain about head turning at higher speeds but it hasn't been a issues for me. The only thing I don't like, if conditions are right in the AM it can fog up on the inside pretty damn bad when running red light slow or stopped. Other than that, it's a great helmet.
Where Killboy was sitting shooting pics I should have some REAL good pics coming. I just have to wait for them to get uploaded.

The road is so tight they have no choice what so ever but to take up both lanes in the corners. Trucks don't come through there that often but when they do it causes havoc. I'm sure the truckers cuss their dispacthers for sending them through there.
In all honesty The Dragon is not the best road on the planet and I don't know what all the hype is about. If you could maintain 50mph or better from one end to the other......your doing something. Of course the guys on the liter bikes and the 600's absolutely fly on some sections.
There are way better roads surrounding that area IMO.

Everyone has their own idea of what a perfect road is. If there is that much hype about a certain road then you may be expecting too much when you get there and be in for some disappointment. Just like going to the movies when everyone says you MUST go see this movie. When it's all over, the wife and I just look at each other and say WTF.
If there are so many police, people, and road hazards on the Dragon, you couldn't pay me to go there. Well, you could try.

I refuse to go there on the weekend. I've ridden with people that when we got near the Dragon they were persistent about going and I would split off from them and ride alone. They thought I was being a dick but I could care less. Now I could run the Cherohala Skyway all day{which is near the Dragon. I love that fuckin' road. 50 miles of 80+mph sweepers.
Yesterdays ride was an all day ordeal that I took off to do. Just me and one other guy. Left the house at 6am got home at 8:30 pm. I put in about 620ish miles yesterday with perfect weather once the sun came up and the fog burnt off.
I'm still waiting on two sites to upload pics.

Nice photos, Man!
I’ve got near here in my town a place with very nice curves similar to yours. I’ve wanted to go take some pics of my own there but I’m always alone on the bike. It’s hard taking good ones like that!

Here's one full size I bought so far. To bad you can't view the full 5m high rez pic, you would need probably a 27" monitor to see the whole thing. You can keep zooming it and see actual part numbers on the bike.
Anyway....
