This is Vegas baby

Some of you might wonder why we go to Las Vegas to ride or think that it's all about the lights and gambling. Check out my short slideshow.
The first pic you can see the Vegas strip in the background.
Red Rock Canyon is just down the road from our home and we had a hot air balloon float right over. There is a biker bar at the top of Mountain Springs (5,490' elev) and some bad@$$ looking dudes hang out there but sportbikers are there too and we all get along. The last couple pics are at the top of Mt Charleston where you can ski in the winter. Not bad for being in the desert. Did you notice the long straight open roads, some twisties too.

I love it down that way, and up by the ET highway near Rachel.

Great pictures.

None of the pics really do any justice. You'll just have to come and see for yourself. I'll even let you take the 14 for a spin.

They have alot of rock climbing and you can camp at the top too. Us ol folk prefer the hiking trails.

looks a bit like my back yard, all these are taken less than 2000 yards from my house except the top three they are from my yard.

Have you been up to Mountain Springs salloon? That's where the faster twisties are. They lowered the speed limit by Red Rock and radar it all the time. Drive thru the park, it's slow but fun.
Vegas drivers? Not sure where they learned how to drive.

Awesome , man! Awesome landscapes and a very great place to ride! I just love all that open space, the feeling of freedom! A motorcycle can almost fly in those roads. I know many envy North Carolina’s roads and twisties, but after a lifetime here it does get tiresome and a little claustrophobic compared to your Nevada landscape!
Wow Man!

I will be there next August for a convention and my boss is talking about riding out since he is retiring afterwards. Also have a couple of pals in the vicinity. Maybe we can all get together for a ride.
