Look what I sold!

To make a long story short:

My wife, that I love very much, just had to have a certain used 4x4 Tracker that was for sale. She said it would be the only thing she could drive (up to now it’s the only thing she drives). I didn’t at the time have the money to buy it for her. She insisted and insisted and bugged me, said that it was her independence of movement etc, etc. , depressed and angry, feeling my things weren’t worth shit, I ended up selling my NEW green Kawasaki 500R, with less than 200 miles on it.
Just 2 or 3 days later I discovered that it was NOT necessary to sell mi bike.
She bugged me so much with that truck, she didn’t let me think, and I don’t even really understand what happened!
All that because she could never understand how to drive stick!
Now my wife has her 4x4 but I miss horribly my 500R! I had not even started to play with the thing!
Yes I still have my ZX-6, she’s beautiful and she runs great! Nothing is wrong with her but it’s getting harder and harder to get parts for it
It took me a year to find all the missing parts and to rebuild the bike. I feel that if I use it something will break and it will be out of action for a month.
I need a newer bike but now I can’t afford it!
Regards.
You may scold me if you like!

This is my ZX-6 Before its facelift, no NC plate yet! Just new tires!

She just started driving two months ago, I wanted to teach her how to drive my cars, but they are both 5 speed manual, my fault I like to drive stick. She never could understand the clutch / gear thing. I explained to her how a 5 speed manual car works, gear ratios, when to shift etc. I showed books to her, diagrams and pictures of gearboxes and clutches. I just fell short of trying to explain that to her with puppets! She just couldn’t, I don’t know why!
She now drives her 4x4 automatic very well I must add!

I guess by choice!
She never till that 4x4 appeared, showed any interest in driving. She had everything solved and done for her since she was a little girl.

Why did I sell the bike?? I guess I was feeling selfish holding on to my stuff , and guilty about it. But as I said, I was not necessary to sell it!

I guess what I'd do then.... Dont let her find out that you didn't need to sell it, then do as they would do and hold it over her head that "you think about her first" and milk that for as long as you can!

That's gotta be good for getting a few things she's normaly wouldn't be down with.

the wifeie or the bikeie

this is a no brainer, you cant replace the things a loving wife will do for her husband,no bike could hold a candle to my wife in my mind (key words my mind) so its all how you think of your wife,is she worth having over a motorcycle?(depending how you read that the answer is still yes) heres another angle on this, try making love to your motorcycle.from time to time us men need to sit under a big tree somwhere and ask ourselves whats really important to us.but i can understand your torment somewhat ,after all our beautyqueens can be alot like our bikes sometimes, they both can leak, sometimes thier tempermental, and when the road gets ruff they can be a little hard to handle but we love em.ah yes spoken like a true baloney sandwich.

Yep, you are right, man. I’ll hold the bike thing until it gets useful; I’ll use it as an excuse I can use with my wife when I buy my next bike! (I hope that’s not too far in the future)!

Yes, man you are darn right! My wife is well worth it, needless to say no bike can mach her!
That green bike was nice, but my wife is far more beautiful, besides all your other things you pointed out!
You express your thoughts very clearly, I liked you comment very much!
And as Tommy2273boy said above I will milk the situation with her when the time comes to buy a new bike.
