Oil weight question- 15W-50

Good evening all,

I have a question. I have a 95 ZX-6R with 12K miles and have always used a 10W-40 synthetic blend, but the shop I stopped in didn't have the blend so I took what they had- Suzuki Synthetic oil- 15W-50. I checked my manual and it had just about any weight listed except this weight. Should I use this oil or take it back and go to another shop.

Thanks

It'll be fine. If I was running in cold weather I'd probably go look harder for 10w40. Not sure why different manufacturers recommend different oil when it seems engines are engines. Ducati recommends 15w50 and Kawasaki 10w40. Go figure.

Thanks guys. Yeah, Crazy Cat I have had this bike since '96. I bought it brand new and babied it since. I love the bike. It has the hp's and it is comfortable. What color scheme do you have? Mine is the firecracker red and eventide.
