What kind of lube does everyone use?
I was wondering what type of chain lube everyone uses? i have an 05 zx-6r

I use Dupont Teflon Multi-Lube dry wax lubricant. Cheap, works great, and I get it at Lowes.

^ and is that safe for the o-rings and everything? and to apply you just spray it on?

wd-40 to clean and chain wax to lube.......... i put it on right before bed so that it can setup and not fling off the chain.....

someone told me you can do some wd-40 and a toothbrush to clean the chain is that true?? i also heard from someone else that wd-40 is bad for the o-rings

It is not bad for your o-rings used as you describe. Works for cleaning just like kerosene. Gunk comes right off. I use it sprayed on an old/disposable shop towel. Great for cleaning your rims too. It's a wonder product for sure.

ok cool thanks for the info guys seeing as how this is my first bike im new to maintence on them! :) i also ordered repsol moto chain lube since a few people i know swear by it! !

i use wd40 but the cleanest ive ever seen a chain was with kerosen..... that worked awesome but man is it messy.......

ok so i did just as follows just now the first maitence i had to do on my bike i sprayed the chain with wd-40 used a tooth brush and wiped down with a shop towel... then i sprayed on the chain lube..im worried that i missed a spot so i did a few full rotations of the chain and it looks all well lubed.. any other suggestions much appreciated from a nOOb! thanks guys
