86 zx10 oil cooler bypass

sorry if this is been asked before im a noob i have a 86 zx10 and ive replace the oil cooler three time and it leaks no matter what i try its liquid cooled so i was wondering what might be complications to just unhooking the oil cooler and blocking off the holes on the oil pan. i relize it may heat up faster and the oil would break down quicker but will it over heat or cause other problems? any help would be great thanks

I can't answer this from practical experince but my theory says NO. You need your oil cooler. Also with the oiling system expecting to pump oil through the cooler, blocking off the lines might be a disaster. It's possible that I am completely wrong in which case someone will likely be along to point that out.

Is it the cooler themselves that keep leaking or fittings? New coolers? Hard to imagine three new coolers all being bad.

sorry correction new/used coolers and they all cracked were the bolt goes in i torqued them to specs but they still cracked im looking to do somthing to get by for a couple three weeks til i can afford and find a new one
