Chevron Delo for Bikes?

Hi,

First post...am trying to do an oil change myself on my 2006 ZX-6R.

Anyone using the Chevron Delo from Costco on their bikes? If so, any problems?

I read across some forums that chevron added some additives that are not good for clutch? Any thoughts?

Sams Club also has the Chevron Delo and from the image it seems just CJ-4 (and not CJ-4+ that has the moly additives).

The Chevron Delo seems to be the cheapest that I can buy.

Any info would be a great help.

If you have a cheap motor, use cheap oil. Avoid automotive oils. They have "friction modifiers" added that can cause a wet clutch to slip. Also they have no shear additives like motorcycle-specific oils (JASO rated 4T) which are necessary for engines with common sump/transmission lubrication. The only other good alternative is diesel oils like Rotella-T which do not have f-m additives.
