ya im a noob but id rather get it right than wrong,,,got the bike with 6700 miles,,,might have 7200 now.. the guy i bought it from said he probually but 200 miles on since the last oil change,,,how often should i change the oil and how???
Most people will say change the oil every 4k miles and the filter every other oil change, kawasaki europe says the bare minimum is to change the oil and filter every 8k miles but recommend 4k for the oil and possibly the filter if the bike is regularly pushed hard or is ridden in urban traffic often.
As for how, youll easily find step by step guides for your specific bike everywhere, its a vrey popular model so youre bound to find a guide, otherwise your model has nothing special and most generic sportsbike oil change guides work perfectly....
Just dont do the same error as most noobs: clockwise to tighten and if you do use a torque wrench set to 20 foot pounds before you head off to buy a thread repair kit halfway through your oil change!
