How does Amsoil compare?

Forgive my ignorance, but I have no prior experience with Amsoil. I'm curious to learn more about lubricants and such...

For the last seven years, I've been using Red Line oil - mainly because I get a good deal on it and it seems to be better than the best Mobil1 stuff out there.

How would Amsoil compare to the Red Line brand? I'm not looking for a war of oils, just want is a comparable in your opinion for the motorcycles we love to ride?

Motorcycles are different than cars, since our oil is used in the tranny and throughout the engine in one complete system, so the oil demands are higher IMHO.

Thoughts??

I had the same thing happen when I switched to Royal Purple......

Get a VERY good grade oil, and use it.....

If walmart carries it, it is not in the upper grade of oil.....

AMSoil, Royal Purple, Redline, Motul, etc.

Check out the test results at this link http://www.ezlubes.com/product_info/g2156.pdf I believe Redline is included in the test, as well as Royal Purple.

Amsoil paid independent labs to do the test. Amsoil has been doing testing like this for over 30 years now naming the brands tested along with the results. If the data was inaccurate Amsoil would have been sued by the large oil companies. Oil companies often sue others due to false advertising claims. Amsoil has never been sued for their test data as it is done per industry standards and the results are the results. If you look at the data carefully you will see that Amsoil did not come in first in every test category. Seems like if they paid for it they would be first across the board don't you think?
