Im new and I need some advice on a possible purhcase

I was poking around craigslist and I found a starter bike. an 03 250cc Ninja with 3800mi. on it. The guy says its been sitting for like 3 years and the carbs are rebuilt, and he installed a stage 1 jet kits from dyno jets and it hasnt run right since. He is asking $450 for the bike. He says someone told him the carbs need tuning, but it runs...just runs rough. Is it worth looking into? Im not a motorcycle guy...ive always been interested in motorcycles but just looking for a good deal. Thanks for your help.

id doit its seems like a simple fix if what hes saying is correct. there are manuels for this and any small engine shop should beable to help to. id try tuning the carbs n if not take the jet upgrade out. heck worst case u part it out and easliy make ur money back i see this as a win win. either money return on part out or a great rider

If it ain't wrecked, it's definitely worth $450. Sounds like the carbs need tuning, there's probably bad gas in it right now, too...but those are pretty easy fixes.

Sounds like a great deal. make sure the title isn't "salvage".
