friend of mind got a 250 about a week a go liking oil went to his house tock his tank off in the air box the air filter and the air box have a lot of oil what would could be the probem thanks

Sounds like someone overfilled the oil level in the past. What you see is blow back from the crank case breather most likely. Ensure oil level is correct, not over filled, clean out the air box and should be good to go.
