FI : New 250R

Guys, need some info on the FI system on the new 250R. Is it a closed loop or an open loop system(like the alpha-N ) ?

where are you located? I believe only the ones outside the US have F/I.

anyway,I'm not sure what they are.. I would think they would get away being closed loop as long as they keep a choke for cold startups. they get good enough fuel economy without even having to run in open loop.

Most motorcycles with EFI in north america are open loop ecu's. The european bikes have to meet more strict emission levels so an o2 sensor or lambda sensor is necessary for precise feedback for fuel control.

I wish american bikes did have o2's, it would be easier to keep a consistant AFR when you do the tune. Instead of running from a predetermined ecu map it could adjust itself to some point.
