I am a new 250 owner and hate the two sided exhaust. I figure if I am going to change the ouput, I might as well change the intake. I know I will need to change the jetting when I do those two things.
My questions are:
Is there a single sided exhaust? Who makes them? What are the price ranges.
Has anyone eliminated their existing intake box and if so, what did you replace it with? I have seen K & N filters with the carb intake boots, but they look like the go into the existing intake box. I have also seen the individual pods.
With all that done, what did you do about your jetting? What kits are available and what are the price ranges for this?
Speaking of mods to the 250, I just did the front sprocket 15 tooth change...OMG!
what a difference. Highway cruising is way better and in the power band there is a real pull compared to what the 14 tooth was giving. I am doing the 41 tooth rear sprocket change in a couple of weeks (that sprocket is on back order till mid Sept.)
