engine swapping!?

I bought a 2003 ninja 250. but it just don't have what i want. i ride around with a few people but they have sportsters and what not. but i was wondering if any one knows if i could swap the 250 with a 500 or 650 engine.

just buy a bigger bike, when its all said and done you'll be better off

You don't need a bigger engine to ride around with sportsters. If the people you are riding with are leaving you behind, then DON'T RIDE WITH THEM.

As for dropping a new engine in the 250...edwardcarter is right. Totally not worth the work, effort, and $$ you will spend. A new engine probably wouldn't fit... and boring it out wouldn't give you much of a boost.

Best bet would be to get a different bike.
