Hey guys, any feedback would be greatly appreciated...
I'm trying to decide if just buying some xenon H7's to replace stock is worth it, or should I just upgrade to HID? I'm curious if it would be a pain in the ass to install, and if these conversion kits I see all over the net are actually any good. Has anyone switched to HID?

I think the HID looks pimp. You should go to youtube.com and look up our bike from the guy forumboy007. He put a blue HID lighting kit for the 250 and it looks dope! I dont know where he got it from or how much time it takes to put in but I would go that direction if you're looking at lights.
Halogen vs HID is pretty easy comparison. Most halogens are around 55/100 watts and the HID only puts out 35w with more lumen's than a halogen bulb. HID's are more expensive but last longer and are much brighter than halogen. If you do end up getting HIDs I'd recommend getting 4300 to 6000k. The temperate is the amount of lumen's it produces, 4300 is what most BMW's come with OEM. 6000 is a white color with blue tint to it. Anything higher than 6000 will be blue to purple. It may look nice but wont be as bright as 4300 or 6000. The higher the temperate doesn't mean the brighter it will be, just the color in which the light produces. Installation is extremely straight forward as well. Theres no cutting of wires or splicing needed at all. For the most part it's all plug and play.If you have any questions feel free to PM me. I hope this helps you in deciding which is best for you.
THANKS! HID's are gonna be the way to go I think, but I wonder if a car kit will work, they are only like 70 bucks on eBay, or if I have to get a motorcycle-specific kit...more research I guess!

A car kit would normally work, hopefully you have the same bulb for both the low and high beam. The only nice thing about kits made specifically for motorcycles is the fact that the ballasts are must thinner and easier to mount. Car ballasts usually have quite a bit of weight to them and are generally twice as big. I have a kit off of ebay for my bike that was 120 shipped, came with two slim ballasts (about .5 thick) and took about 20 minutes to install.
