Greetings friends, I am planning to Paint Headers with Anti-corrosion paint. Is there any danger of it catching fire after the paint dries off and the headers become hot(normal driving)?
I would consider Ceramic coating them unless your looking for a paticular color other than black. The coating isn't that expensive and it is a uniform black just short of being flat black. There is a line of two part high heat paints out that are good for up to or supposedly over 1200 degrees F. Can't remember the name of the paint sorry but it's out there maybe an online search will turn it up. Regular paint would definetly burn, change color and maybe melt off, and probably permanetly stain the pipes.
