Question 01 zx6r gauge backlight replacement

I just got this bike and the seller told me that i needed to replace some led's and haven't bought the repair manual yet so i was wondering if anyone knew how to replace these lights/led or had a link to an online DIY or the manual itself. Let me know, thanks!

Sem, I have replaced the backlights on my 2001 ZX6R. I think there are three of them. One was burnt on my cluster. Simply take the gage off the mounts. You should remove windscreen and upper fairing first. The gage cluster is held on by two bolts. Very easy and straightforward. Don't forget to unplug it. Once the gage is off, turn it over on a bench and unscrew the back. I think there were like 6 screws or bolts. Carefully lift the back off, and you'll see the little backlights. They are actually tiny halogens, not LEDs. You'll see you can fit a tiny flathead screwdriver into the back of the light casing. Give the light a gentle 1/4 or 1/2 turn to align the light tabs with the gage notches and they lift right out!! I ordered new ones straight from my kawi dealer. A couple bucks a piece. Make sure to go to the kawasaki website and look up the part numbers very carefully on the exploded drawings, because the center light is a different wattage then the outer two if I remember correctly. It has to light twice the area! Hope this helps, good luck.
