I just purchased a 1999 zx7 to replace my 1995 fzr 600. I bought the bike and it was extremely hard to start,but once started it ran but would bog when under acceleration and die. I purchased a set of newer carbs and installed them hoping to get the acceleration problem fixed. Hooked everything up and no fire. Went to the basics of air, fuel, and spark. Found no spark was being fired on the plugs so then went to the coils. Now to test the coils if I am correct I unplug them from the wiring harness and test from the terminals on the coil....right? I found no ohm readings from either coil, if I am testing them correctly(which I believe I am) I should get a reading of 2.3 -3.5 on primary side and 12,000 to 18000 on secondary side. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Oh and zx7 ROCK!
