I Am Sure This Question Has Arose Before, But Would Someone Please Explain The Difference Between A Dampner And Stabilizer. I Am In The Middle Of Preparing My Quad For The Next Season. And Have Yet To Invest In Either One For Lack Of Knowing Which Wood Be Better. I Would Be Woods Racing. (gncc) Thanks.
I think it's more symantics than definition they are technically the same thing if you go to GPR website for instance in there descriptions on the stabilizers they refer to it doing what a damper is supposed to do. I have seen this several times in my browsing around for one myself and have yet to see a distinct difference in the two other than one word describes the part the other word describes the action it does. Just my 2cents good luck.
Yeah no s**t I called Motosports a while back and the guy there was reall helpful and suggested I go with the new model Hyper pro Damper it was far better than the rotary stabilizer (again that is the only difference I've seen) they call the rotary style one a stabilizer and the inline model a damper? The price is about 40 lower on the damper at 449 compared to 479 for the rotary stabilizer. I like the compact round one better and since i won't be on a track a lot I think it will do a fine job for me keeping the occassional wheelie induced light head shake down.
