Talking "Zip-Tie mod"

I seen this once before and thought I’d try it….
and got immediate results.

Have you ever wanted “full throttle” with less twist?
I know there is stuff out there, but, I’m cheap!
Here we go.

THE “ZIP-TIE MOD”

What you need:

Cut a thick zip-tie about 3 inches long.

I smoothed down both ends on the “ribbed” side.

Take apart your throttle housing and unhook your cables.

Super glue an end of the zip-tie to your throttle tube where the cables ride.
Then do the same for the other end.
(I scuffed up the smooth side a bit for better adhesion)

Replace your throttle cable ends back into their places.

Close up the throttle housing making sure there is no binding of anything.

Enjoy!

(While you are there, go ahead and lube your cables)

When I took my bike out to test this…WOW!
Like I said, the response is immediate!

Have Fun.

Dude, that is awesome. You don't realize how much money you could make, hooking this mod for people.

What is the purpose of this mod? To get full throttle without twisting as much?

Maybe it's too early, or maybe there has been too much egg nog over the hoidays... but what is the concept behind this, and how does it work, or why does it work? Is it simply based on increasing the size of the throttle tube so that the cables don't have to travel as far??

(feeling somewhat lost wrt this mod)

Then dont.
Super glue was my idea. A lot of folks just wedge it in there.
Oh, wait, you are thinking of some sort of disastrous out come...
never mind.

Yep.
You got it.
That's it.
You hit the nail on the head.

Ive been told that an R1...maybe it was a gixxer, throttle tube
will work just as well.
Dunno, Ive got to replace my triple clamp duct tape bearing retainer.
I now feel unsafe over 100 mph.

peace
