Question Newbie needing help

I now own a ninja 250 but looking to buy a 2001 ZX6. The guy says "The one and only problem is that the black rubber fuel valve ripped which connects the gas to the carbs"! This is just a hose right???? I want to ride it before I buy it So..... How hard will it be to put this on? Can I get to this without taking the fairing off? On my bike this is easy! I'm driving 3 hours just to look at it! Any advice????

I would definitely bring some metric tools so you can at least take the seat and gas tank off, I think that's probably all you have to do.

i have never heard of someone calling a hose a "valve". they're probably trying to say the rubber dustshield around the petcock is ripped... if a fuel hose was ripped, it'd be pissing fuel all over the place and not exactly ridable.

but then again, i have noticed the majority of people on this forum to be squids and are unfamiliar with any and all terminology when describing parts.

As I agree with Oak, I have heard a lot of ninja have an issue at some point leaking fuel from the petcock so you might want to take that into consideration when purchasing I believe you could purchase a new one from the dealer or these oem kawasaki places online.

I was not aware that being squids reflected on our ability to correctly name or describe parts of a motorcycle but then again; I'm just a poser so what do I know
