starter solenoid shit the bed. that or the control relay powering it. that, or the button powering the control relay.
jump the solenoid out with a screwdriver.. see if it cranks..
yes?-->test voltage to solenoid, work backwards from there
no?-->test starter.

your sure the clicking is from the ignitor box and not the starter solenoid? does the engine crank? all you said was it won't start. if the starter solenoid is clicking then it won't crank. im just trying to understand if you got your parts mixed up, no offense.

no worries , yes the startor solenoid is ok , i crossed the terminals , i started the bike with a direct wire from battery to starter, when i use the starter switch on the throttle all i get is a click from the igniter box thats it , nothing more ,, hey no offence taken , all cool ,

either a failed coil in the solenoid, or the control relay i the junction box took a shit. it is a 5A MR301 form 1-C dry reed relay..SPDT

meter power at the solenoid.. these bikes have a tendency to start dropping 4-5 volts along the starter control circuit and the resulting 7V getting to the solenoid isn't enough to actuate it.

junction box is where your fuses are. theres a small control relay in there that feeds power to the solenoid.. but for some reason, they way they feed the power, many many times it develops a voltage loss along the way.

shouldn't need to replace the CDI. it's a separate piece altogether.
