Tick Left Lower Side Zx11

I have a 96 zx11 and i have a continuos tick coming from the left lower side of the engine it deos not get any louder with the rpms but i drive the bike all the time never more than an hour at a time and it seems fine but deos not sound the best although you can only hear it if you put your ear down by the left side wile riding you wont hear it i am just wondering if anywone can help it would be much appreciated!!!! I was thinking it was the cam chain ten. but i am hearing the tick or knock from from above the little circle were you check the oil level
